*eTRASH is a theatre laboratory project that aims to use the tools of theatre and performance to ask questions and make discoveries, rather than prepare a production. The guiding question for the lab is "how do we perform the boundaries between 'humans' and 'nature?" Through exploring this question I hope we can uncover some of the ways humans habituate ourselves as 'separate' from our ecological networks, as well as find ways to re-familiarize ourselves with these environments. The lab will feature a series of theatre-skill workshops, discussion groups, and devising sessions. Each week participants will learn a new theatrical skill from a guest artist (for example, burlesque, clown, acrobatics, storytelling), discuss a specific ecological topic (for example, ecofeminism, environmental justice), and then bring technique and topic together to create miniature performances. eTRASH will culminate in a final public presentation of our theatrical discoveries, to be shared as a part of the Black Box Series, April 16-18. **If you are auditioning for Much Ado about Nothing, you are encouraged (but not required) to audition with a Shakespearean monologue.
