Grounded in the World: Trail Running & Climate Justice

Join the Department of Performing and Media Arts and Footprints Running for Grounded in the World: Trail Running & Climate Justice on Saturday, April 25. A Group Trail Run will take place at 10:00 am, starting at the Nevin Welcome Center, Cornell Botanic Gardens, followed by conversation and snacks. Sustainability Presentations will take place at 5:30 pm, in the Film Forum, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. Join us for our morning group run, an evening of storytelling centered in stewardship, and learn about volunteer opportunities.

Footprints is a nonprofit committed to cultivating climate justice projects, developed by people like you: individuals who love the outdoors and want to protect them for everyone. Dakota Jones is a professional runner and the executive director of Footprints Running.

This event is hosted by Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability faculty fellows: Theo Black (Performing & Media Arts), Steven Mana‘oakamai Johnson (Ashley School of Global Development and the Environment), and Michael Charles (Biomolecular and Environmental Engineering).
