Listen to The Caucasian Chalk Circle (September 21–23) director & PMA associate professor Beth F. Milles talking about the play with WHCU Talk Radio's Lee Rayburn.
Bertolt Brecht wrote the play while in exile from Hitler's Germany "to invoke questions about current government practices, society, and for people whose needs and wants are not always being addressed," said Milles. "I think our students find it incredibly powerful, timely, and an opportunity to talk about our world in performing this play."
The production also features original music by Broadway, television, and film composer and longtime Milles collaborator Lewis Flinn.
