Jeffrey Palmer speaks about "Indigenous Changemakers" on PBS webinar series

Join PMA assistant professor Jeffrey Palmer Thursday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m. EST for a panel discussion about "Indigenous Changemakers." This event is brought to you by PBS/WNET #Unladylike2020PBS, a webinar series elevating "the Hidden History of American Women."

Many Black women and women of color have had an incredible impact on American history and culture, but their stories are often not taught in U.S. history curricula. Creators of the innovative documentary series @UNLADYLIKE2020 and WNET, New York’s flagship public television station, are kicking off a series of four webinars starting Thursday, February 25. The first installment will provide an overview of the Unladylike2020 series and connect participants to educational lesson plans and curriculum resources. Other webinar topics include Teaching Historical Thinking Skills, Indigenous Changemakers, and Fighting Racism: Civil Rights in the Progressive Era. Educators will receive CTLE (Continuing Teacher and Leader Education) credits.
