Overview
Njahla Stanley is a scholar making the lateral move from literary studies to media studies, with a broad interest in TV and digital genres, adaptation, affect, and aesthetics. She is particularly interested in the manifestation of the Gothic in digital genres, the operation of blackness as technology in adaptations, and the extent to which the dominance of Netflix and the consolidation of streaming options has affected the form and narrative complexity of Korean dramas. She holds a BA in English from the University of South Florida and an MA in Literature, Media, and Culture from Florida State.
