Save the dates! A Chicano's Guide to Navigation will run from March 24-26 in the Black Box Theatre, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts.

Performance dates:

  • March 24 7:30 p.m.
  • March 25, 5:00 p.m.
  • March 26, 2:00 p.m.
  • March 26, 7:30 p.m.

Synopsis: The main character, Maria, is trying to develop a presentation where he shares his insight into his own experience as a Chicano and the effect social media has on how we communicate with each other and perceive our differing and diverse identities. His friends Enrique and Sylvia are assisting Juan in this endeavor, one also Chicano, the other not.

A Chicano's Guide to Navigation is a metatheatrical exploration of the Mexican-American experience, the ever-present role of social media in our public and private lives, and interconnectedness.

Seats are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event is free and open to the public. Campus visitors and members of the public must adhere to Cornell’s public health requirements for events, which include wearing masks while indoors and providing proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test.
