PMA Podcast: 'She Persists' with PhD students Jayme Kilburn and Erin Stoneking

In episode 7 of the PMA Podcast, Cornell PhD students Jayme Kilburn and Erin Stoneking talk about Civic Ensemble's upcoming women's performance workshop, She Persists (May 11–14). She Persists is a devised performance using personal narratives from women-identified members of the Ithaca community. The performances are a culmination of a yearlong workshop aimed at creating a “community of women.” Using the template of consciousness-raising groups that sprung out of the Women’s Movement, the women’s performance workshop creates a safe space for women to talk about their personal lives and socially relevant issues. From these conversations, participants shaped their stories into an interwoven performance.
