Ithaca’s Cherry Arts Collective revives its annual holiday play, The Snow Queen, for a third year, with ten performances December 12–22 at The Cherry Artspace. Featured in this year’s production is Department of senior lecturer Carolyn Goelzer as the Snow Queen. PMA senior lecturer E.D. Intemann is the production’s lighting designer.
The Snow Queen, The Cherry’s adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale, tells the story of Greta, a young girl on a mission to rescue her best friend Kai from the clutches of the Queen. Accompanied by live music and original puppetry, Greta encounters a host of curious characters along the way.
Tickets can be purchased at TheCherry.org. All performances take place at The Cherry Artspace, 102 Cherry Street, Ithaca, NY 14850.
