PMA Department Chair Samantha Noelle Sheppard has won the 2025 Faculty Champion Award for Advanced Career Faculty, from the Graduate School Office of Inclusion & Student Engagement. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 14 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Graduate Diversity and Inclusion Award and Recognition Celebration in G10 Biotech.
Faculty Champion Award: Awarded to faculty members who advise graduate and/or professional degree students who foster diversity, equity, inclusion and access in graduate education through exemplary mentorship, leadership, and/or outreach activities within the Cornell community. Those who receive this award have shown an unwavering commitment to promoting the growth and personal and professional development of graduate and professional students who represent the diversity of the Cornell community.
“I feel really honored to have been nominated and selected for this recognition, especially because the award recognizes the vital significance of diversity, equity, inclusion and access in graduate education. I feel a real deep commitment to those principles,” said Sheppard.
