This fall, PMA Alum Victoria Pihl Sørensen ‘25 will be joining the University of Colorado Boulder as Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Media Studies.
The degree programs in the Department of Media Studies emphasize the creative and analytical skills needed to make sense of current and future trends in media and to gain a deep understanding of the history and development of various means and forms of communication.
“Over the years, I have been developing my pedagogy alongside, and with lessons from, amazing peers and faculty at Cornell,” said Sørensen. “I am excited to take these experiences with me to a dynamic department at CU Boulder that offers students an interdisciplinary approach to media studies. Standing in front of the classroom is often where I feel most at home and I feel fortunate to continue to teach students how to make critical sense of media, culture, ideology, and history.”
