The Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America recently awarded the Elliott Hayes Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dramaturgy to Magda Romanska MA '03, PhD '06, for her global theater portal, TheTheatreTimes.com.
Named in honor of Elliott Hayes, former dramaturg and literary manager at the Stratford Festival, the award recognizes excellence in dramaturgical work on a specific project over the past two years.
TheTheatreTimes.com brings together theatre-makers and theatre lovers, facilitates global collaborative networks, and creates opportunities for interaction and creative development among a diverse group of theatre professionals and audience members.
Romanska, executive director and editor-in-chief of TheTheatreTimes.com, launched the portal in 2016. Since going live, the site has developed 20 thematic sections, published more than 2,000 articles, and attracted more than 58,000 social media followers.
Romanska is an associate professor in performing arts at Emerson College. She recently returned to Cornell as a presenter for the Department of ' Drama Across Borders conference on May 12.
