Jason Simms’s Scenic Design Featured in Philadelphia Production of “A Raisin in the Sun”

Scenic Design created by PMA Assistant Professor Jason Simms is featured in a production of A Raisin in the Sun that opened on January 30 and runs until February 18.

Originally premiering on Broadway in 1959, Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun “was subsequently adapted into a Golden Globe and Cannes Film Festival award-nominated motion picture in 1961,” writes Walter DeShields in Bucks County Herald. This new version of the classic play, directed by award-winning actress and playwright, Lisa Strum, is showing on the Bristol Riverside Theatre Mainstage in Philadelphia, PA.
