Call for Actors: 10-Minute Play Festival's "Jodeci for White Girls"

A corrupt manager, a failing songwriter, a teen pop sensation, and his more talented bandmate always pushed to the side… These are some of the roles we are looking to fill in Jodeci for White Girls, part of the Department of ’ 10-Minute Play Festival (October 8–10). Jodeci documents the rise of 90s white boy bands (think: Backstreet Boys and *NYSYNC) and the Black songwriters, managers, and producers who brought about this phenomenon.

We are in particular need of actors who identify as men; however, all are welcome to audition. Interested actors should please send a short (30 seconds to 1 minute) video of themselves reading a monologue or singing their favorite (or least favorite) 90s pop song to kbr42@cornell.edu. Rehearsals will be 1–2 hours, 2–3 times a week, held between September 21 and October 5.
