Arts & Sciences alum Nilo Otero '76 has had a decades long career as the number-two person on sets of major motion pictures as a first assistant director. He is featured in this Cornell Alumni Magazine story chronicling his career and most recent work on the set of Oscar-nominated drama Dunkirk.
As the first assistant director, "I run the set so the director can concentrate on the creative aspects of production," he explains. "I take care of all the details." Otero has been a part of numerous critically acclaimed films, including Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight andThe Dark Knight Rises.
