Delta Kappa Alpha (DKA), a professional cinematic society, at Cornell is currently recruiting new members; the first event being this Friday, September 15th 6pm at Morill 106.
Delta Kappa Alpha is a national, gender-inclusive, professional cinematic society founded in 1936, at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, United States.
The mission of Delta Kappa Alpha is to foster lifelong character, collaborative and creative storytelling, ethical and productive business practices, philanthropic action, and fraternal bonds by and between students of the cinematic arts.
Founded in 2017, we are the Phi Chapter of DKA, located at Cornell University. DKA is a national cinematic society that strives to foster Cinematic Artists of Character.
All members have the opportunity to participate in semester productions to develop and strengthen their film production skills. Screenings of world-wide films are held bi-weekly, where members appreciate and discuss films together. We regularly invite guest speakers from the film and entertainment industry to talk about their experiences. DKA also has various business opportunities for members to collaborate, or work, with, or for, other campus clubs, organizations, or even companies. Last but not least, DKA has all kinds of social events, including but not limited to formals, retreats, and date nights.
