Michael Chekov Acting Technique Workshops with Carolyn Goelzer

Department of Performing and Media Arts senior lecturer Carolyn Goelzer will lead two workshops on Michael Chekov acting techniques. These sessions are open to all (RSVP requested, preference given to current students) and you are not required to attend both workshops to participate fully. Drop in on session 1, session 2, or both!

Session 1: Friday, May 4
2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
Room 322, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts

Session 2: Sunday, May 6
2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
Room 322, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts

NOTE: Professor David Feldshuh and Carolyn will be using aspects of the Michael Chekhov Technique in the development of next fall’s production of THE AWAKENING OF SPRING, which David will direct.

Both workshops are “stand alone” sessions covering different training tools-- so it’s fine to sign up for only one if you have limited availability. Please come on time and wear clothes that allow you freedom to move.

Workshops are free and open to all interested students on a first-come-first served basis. Please RSVP to cjg54@cornell.edu.

Cap: 12 participants for each session
