Assistant Stage Managers needed for 2017–18 major productions

We are still in need of Assistant Stage Managers for 2017–2018 major productions!

By working as an ASM, you play a vitally important role in the success of a production. Working side by side with the Stage Manager, you gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of what goes on “behind the scenes” of a production.

ASMs will learn about analytical thinking, leadership, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving.

  • Maybe you don’t necessarily want to be on the stage, but long to be a part of the process and the theatre community?
  • Maybe you do like to act but also want to develop friendships with fellow students and closer working relationships with faculty and staff?
  • Be an ASM! It’s a great way to “jump in with both feet” if you’re interested in getting involved in PMA activities.

Also, working with me is fun! And it is very rewarding to know that you’ve made a significant contribution to the show.

No experience necessary!
A good attitude is required!
Must like fun!

If you ASM for Locally Grown Dance, you can earn 2 credits of PMA 2610 in about 3 weeks.

If you ASM for Caucasian Chalk Circle, you can earn 3 credits of PMA 2611.

Either of these fulfills a production lab requirement for the PMA major or minor.

If interested, please email Pam PSL1@cornell.edu or me HSK59@cornell.edu
