Overview
Jumay Chu performed with the Viola Farber Dance Company and the Lucinda Childs Dance Company, touring the United States and Europe, and with the François Verret Compagnie 1B in Paris. She came to Cornell in 1989 to teach modern dance technique, dance composition, and the critical history of dance. Her choreography was performed at Cornell, in New York City, and in Paris; and she researched the politics of folk dance in Beijing and in the West Bank.
