Virtual Design Showcase

View student designs in the Virtual Design Showcase and give feedback from December 21, 2020, through January 21, 2021.

About the Showcase

This showcase is a presentation of design materials imagined and created by the students of PMA 3630: Scenic and Lighting Design Studio I, taught by Assistant Professor Jason Simms.

Students were given three plays to choose from for which these theoretical designs were created:

  • TOPDOG/UNDERDOG by Suzan-Lori Parks,
  • A NUMBER by Caryl Churchill, and
  • THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA by Frederico Garcia Lorca

Directions

Students participating in the Virtual Showcase are eager for feedback!

To provide feedback, simply leave comments in the comment field on each student's page and messages will be privately available for students to read.

The student's Point-of-View Statement is a response and springboard for the creation of this theoretical work. Each student-created design has a direct correlation to the Point-of-View Statement. When commenting on work without reading or knowing the play, consider the connectivity between the Point-of-View Statement and the visual work being presented.
