A radically different way to look at incarceration

Dr. Samantha N. Sheppard, the Mary Armstrong Meduski ’80 Assistant Professor of Cinema and Media Studies in the Department of , writes in The Atlantic about Time, the documentary by filmmaker Garrett Bradley.

Time follows Louisiana couple Rob and Sibil Fox Richardson as they try to keep their family together during Rob's 20-year incarceration. Writes Sheppard, "The film bridges the past and the present, exposing mass incarceration’s domestic impact on the lives of those tethered to and regulated by the penal system."
