Informational meeting for PMA classes 1610 & 2610

Sign up for classes - no experience necessary:

 

PMA 1610: Learn what it takes to prepare a live show. Students work on getting scenery, costumes, and lighting ready for a live performance. Gain practical skills and learn to use the tools that are integral to the presentation of live art.

PMA 2610: Learn what it means to run a live show. Learn the technical aspects of a production to create a unified artistic vision by programing lighting, sound, or video boards, or participate as a dresser, stage crew member or assistant stage manager.

Meet in the first floor lobby of the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts

  • Ten-Minute Playfest

Auditions are open to all Cornell students, faculty and staff.
Sign up for a time, and get more information in the Green Room at the Schwartz (room 125).

Auditions for Fall 2014 Late Night Series

New for Fall 2014!

The Late Night Series in the Blackbox Theatre, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts!

The Department of Performing and Media Arts is launching a new bi-annual performance series at the Schwartz and we want YOU to be part of it!  

We’re curating and creating an eclectic evening of short (5-10 minute) performance works that respond to our inaugural theme: TAKING OFF! Do you have a monologue, poem, music piece, dance, stand-up routine, magic act, performance or other entertainment that you’d like to test-drive onstage? We’d love to hear about it! Come to auditions to show us your work or to simply pitch your idea! All experience levels welcome! All material considered! This opportunity is open to Cornell students, faculty and staff members who are ready to share their talents! 

Important Dates:

Auditions: Tuesday, September 2, 7:00pm at the Schwartz Center. Sign up forms are in the Green Room (first floor Schwartz Center). Those who wish to audition must sign up for 5-minute slots. Check in to the Green Room when you arrive for the audition.

Play: Saturday, September 20, 9:00pm

Late Night Series participants must be available for evening rehearsal on Friday, September 19, as well as some rehearsal during the day, Saturday, 20 in addition to the evening's scheduled performance at 9:00PM on Saturday, September 20.
