Professional Directions: Cannes Film Festival internship info session, Dec. 2

November 28, 2016

When: Friday, December 2, 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Where: Room 124, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts

Join Mark Lindsay, representative for the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, for information on internship opportunities at the festival, May 14–29, 2017, as well as a summer program in Los Angeles.

From the American Pavilion materials:

"The Festival is located in Cannes, France, and the program runs from May 14–29, 2017. The American Pavilion’s Student Program offers participants a completely unique experience with unparalleled access to both the Festival and Market. Candidates seeking a career in the entertainment business (marketing, sales, legal, distribution, or public relations) can experience the inner workings of the global film industry through internships with companies participating in the Market. Students can also choose to serve on a team in the American Pavilion, where they can have closer access to daily programming, work on the conference and panel production units, make industrywide connections, and participate in the Pavilion’s in-house ticketing system for Festival and Market Screenings.

The American Pavilion’s combined Film & Business Program allows every student his or her choice of internship placement and over 90% of our students rate the program as having 'exceeded expectations.' In addition to Film & Media students, our Cannes program also welcomes Business and International students. Whether on a creative track or a business track, participants choose their internship placement and are given the opportunity to work side-by-side with industry professionals.

You can learn more about our various programs here http://www.ampav.com/index.php/student-programs/.

Along with our various programs at the Cannes Film Festival, we also offer a summer program, The L.A. Intensive, in August, designed for students and recent graduates planning a film or television career in Hollywood."

This event is free and open to the public. The Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts is located at 430 College Avenue, Ithaca, NY 14850, in the heart of Ithaca's Collegetown.
