Written by Irving Torres-Lopez '18

After the death of his estranged father, playwright and actor Hayden Rios is forced to reckon with his life decisions and the pursuit of his artistic goals. In doing so, he leans on his best friend, Dr. Rebecca Aranda, for support. Together, Hayden and Rebecca courageously explore their pasts and the stories of their parents, in hopes of finding answers about their present and futures.

In Irving Torres-Lopez's debut full-length play, Current | Corriente paints a portrait of the lives of generations of latinxs struggling to define themselves in the eyes of their parents, the world, and themselves.
